We have awarded £304,494 to Edinburgh Napier University (in partnership with Combat Stress), to conduct the first pilot study in the world on the efficacy and acceptability of modular therapy as a new promising area of treatment enquiry for UK veterans suffering Complex Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD).  This follows an initial FiMT-funded investigative study to the same research team to understand CPTSD prevalence and treatment experiences to date, which found CPTSD to be a more prevalent condition within help-seeking ex-Service personnel than PTSD.  The recommendations from that initial study showed the need to find an effective treatment to help veterans suffering this debilitating condition.
